ISO 45001 – Occupational Health & Safety
ISO 45001: 2016 is the new international standard for occupational health and safety (OHS) management systems and will replace the existing OHSAS 18001:2007 standard.
Not only will the standard supersede OHSAS 18001, it will make integration with other management systems simpler than ever before; due to the fact it shares a new common structure and is directly aligned with the 2015 versions of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
Companies who have certification to OHSAS 18001 will need to migrate to ISO 45001 to maintain the validity of certification. ISO 45001 is expected to be published in the first quarter of 2018, providing plenty of time to plan the migration.
